Nick walked off of the Travel Boat, which destination was the Region or Lanorae. Now, with no Pokemon, no money, nothing from his previous journey, Nick sets off to make a fresh start in this Region. Having multiple missions and tasks set for him to complete in this region he set off to the Lab of Seaside Village.
Lanorae. Interesting, unlike my first journey...I feel bad about coming here. There's an evil, ominous feel about this place. Very interesting. I can't wait to start my journey here!! Nick smiled and took in a breathe of air and began running and soon found himself on the Beach of Seaside Village, before him flights of steps which seemed to lead to some...building.
"This must be the lab of this Region." With a calm look, Nick slowly headed up the stairs to the Lab. Soon, he was before the double-doored Laboratory. Nick then entered the Lab.
"Hello, new trainer here..."

Rather than the ebony haired, icy eyed professor that was known to inhabit this lab and give away starter Pokemon to knew trainers, a woman with turqoise hair that she had pulled back into a ponytail was in the main lobby of the lab. Her eyes were the same shade as her hair, though she had half-moon glasses high on her nose. Of course, there was also a white lab coat hanging off her shoulders as well, though she seemed to look rather worried.
The woman jumped as she heard Nick's footsteps and quickly turned around. "Oh! I'm sorry I didn't hear you knock!" she said hurridly. "I must have been distracted with trying to hear what the professor was talking about... I know I shouldn't but it must be important if she has a League member here..."
She shook her head quickly, a Chatot fluttering on to her shoulder. It was odd, the Chatot, rather than squawking and going on in nonsense like most of its race did, it looked rather solemn and would jump at every little sound, casting terrified looks upward through a window at the slowly darkening sky that was filled with Murkrow.
"So, what can I do to help you?" the woman smiled, trying to put on a cheerful face. "My name's Lillian by the way, Lillian Carbunkle, though feel free to call my Lily, Lil, or Carry."

"League member..." Nick said curiously. Does she mean a member of the Elite 4 or something is here in Lanorae, if so...why? Nick's curiousity once again was at a high point, his mind flowing with many questions now. However, seeing he was sent to complete many tasks, the thing going on with the League member was the least of his worries.
"Uhh...well I originally came to get my starter for this Region. I have lots to do here, and probably will have to get it done in a speedy time limit. So..."

"Oh yes! Of course you did!" Lillian nodded briskly. "Please do come in, no need for us to talk in this cursed twilight, right?" she stepped further into the lab, waving her hand to show that Nick was free to follow. "And if you would, please shut the door, Song's already getting edgy, I don't know what he would do if a Murkrow actually got in here..." She smiled weakly as she paused.
"Anyway, do you have any idea which starter you would like, I know people normally chat about them on the boat over, or would you like me to release them all so you can get a good picture of them? Either way, it's no trouble at all. After all, this is probably going to be the Pokemon that you'll have through most of your journey."
"Chatot!" the Chatot on her shoulder squawked once, and once only, its eyes still filled with nervousness.

Nick nodded and closed the door softly, so that Song wouldn't get anymore agitated. He then stood and listened to Lily speak. "Interesting. Well, I heard that here in Lanorae there are many different species of Pokemon, so before I choose could I see the Pokemon up for grabs." He kindly asked.
I wonder what the Pokemon here are like. Hopefully they are strong and cool like other Regions I've been to.

"Of course!" said Lillian, a cheerful touch coming back to her voice. "I'll let them all out, we just got our alternate starters replaced so we have a few new choices among them." She smiled and walked over to a shelf, taking down seven Pokeballs as her Chatot fluttered up onto a bookcase. The aide threw all seven of the red and white orbs, and seven Pokemon appeared in a flash of red light.
The first to appear looked like some sort of chick. It had orange featheres covering its body, along with golden feet, beak, wings, and three golden feathers that stuck out of the top of its head. It chirped happily and bounced from foot to foot.
The second looked like a green gecko with a red underbelly. It stood on its hind legs and had a rather smug look to it. Its two tails were a darker green in color, and it looked like they would hurt if it hit you with them.
The third was a pale blue in color, and had what looked like some sort of orange gills on the sides of its head. It had a large fin sticking upward from its head as well, and a large, fin-like tail.
The fourth looked like some sort of pig. It was brown furred and its eyes were hidden beneath a layer of fur, as were its feet. It had a small, hog-like, pink nose that was snuffling the air curiously, probably looking for food.
The fifth looked like some sort of cat, a lion cub to be exact, and it had orange fur with yellowish-beige paws and streaks along its sides. It had an ember cheerfully burning on the tip of its tail, and it mewed happily.
The sixth looked like some sort of meat-eating dinosaur, and its hind legs looked powerful and muscular, perfect for high jumps. It had two growths on the back of its head that looked like horns, and its marking were a deep green.
The seventh and final Pokemon was serpentine in appearance and a calm blue. It had semi-translucent tail fins and large flippers with which it supported its upper body. White fins crowned its head, and its eyes were pupiless and a lighter blue color.
Lillian pointed to each one in turn. "The ones we have are Torchic, Treecko, Mudkip, Swinub, Firecub, Iglora, and Seaward. Do you see one that strikes your fancy?" she smiled slightly. All the pokemon were cute, and grew to be powerful, it really depended upon personal opinion.

Nick glanced at each one, however three only caught his attention. "Torchic, Treecko, Mudkip...those three are all Pokemon I've seen and heard of before. Swinub is too. They are all good, but the other three...I've never seen or heard of anything like those. Awesome." Nick stated staring at each with a twinkle in his eye.
The lion is very cute, and seems fierce, but it's a little to bubbly. The blue serpent, sea creature seems very cool. A calm, quiet type it seems...interesting, but I dunno. However...the dinosaur Pokemon. It looks strong, angry, and evil. I sense this beast possess an unknownw power, a deep strenght, something not everyone can control correctly. He seems like he'll give me more of a challenge as a trainer. I like.
"Iglora..." Nick stated taking a step in its direction. "That's the Pokemon's name right. Apparently, Iglora, Firecub, and Seaward are all Lanorae natives. This is exactly what I came here for." He said with a smile, getting closer and closer to Iglora. "These are all Pokemon in which I've never seen or heard of. But...I think I've got my choice, lets see." Nick then stretched his arm outward his hand nearing Iglora. What it does will tell me everything.
OOC: Hmmm...what shall Iglora do. Bite or be friendly or maybe something else. O.O

The small, raptor-like Pokemon stared at the boy's hand as it neared its snout, its stiff tail twitching slightly. It thought of what to do, would it be friendly towards this trainer? No, definately not extremely bubbly like its fire type companion was. After all, it grew up to be a fierce Terrador, a Pokemon that would attack any that dared to cross it. Nope, definately not nice...
The Iglora shot its head forward, teeth bared, and attempted to bite down on Nick's hand. Lillian jumped, looking rather taken aback by the Pokemon's sudden movement, enough so that a little, half-hearted scream escaped her throat.
The Seaward inched away from the Iglora, not wanting to get snapped at as well, and joined the Firecub, beginning to talk to each other in hushed PokeTongue. Maybe, if they were lucky, the trainer would take the Iglora despite the fact that it was trying to bite him. If he didn't take the little dino, and left it there with them, well, at least the Firecub had a type advantage....
Lillian's Chatot looked up at its mistress' scream, though didn't exactly seem to concerned, rather, it went back to hiding its head among its thick coating of feathers, shuddering slightly. The darkness was getting thicker, trailing in through the windows and dimming the lights. It almost looked as if the lab could be haunted now.

"Ahh!!!" Nick screeched in pain. Iglora's teeth were no doubt sharp, and painful, however Nick's face bared a smile. So, he takes no prisoners...no chances. He's very fierce and apparently Territorial in a sense. A challenge indeed to any trainer who would take a try to tame him...I like.
Nick then looked toward the other two Pokemon, Firecub and Seaward. Both were together, apparently communicating in someway, and looked a bit shaken by the Iglora's behavior. "...Interesting..." Nick said as he watched them continue there convo. Before he knew anything...the lab was in a quick instant covered in a dark veil. "Eh..." He said as he saw the Chatot hide himself. "This is unreal, what's going on!?" Nick now shocked asked.
My journey never starts normal...why!!!?

"It's called the Embrace of Twilight..." said Lillian simply. "It's only supposed to happen once every five-hundred years, but for some reason it's happening four-hundred-and-fifty years early... Professor Aspen and Rui of the Elite Four are in the back discussing it right now I believe..." she looked rather shaken, though not quite as much as her Chatot, which was apparently trying to sink into the bookcase he sat on, pressing his body close to the wood.
"You're probably going to find many, many Murkrow along your journey until this is over," Lillian continued. "As you can see, they're swarming in great numbers and they will attack travelers. Really, trainers like you shouldn't worry about what's going on, but rather how good a chance you now have of catching a Pokemon that's normally only found in later routes." she gave a rather weak smile, then glanced at the Iglora.
The small dinosaur was looking rather smug that he had managed to successfully bite the trainer, and he was holding his head high with a proud air around him. He didn't seem disturbed by the darkness at all.
Lillian sighed slightly, shaking her head. "So, you sure you want that Iglora?" she asked, nodding at it. "They only get worse once they evolve..."

Embrace of Twilight...sounds very interesting. Maybe father knew something of this, and probably is researching this as well. Maybe the Embrace of Twilight will bring some real ancient Pokemon as well something my father also would be interesting in researching.
Nick didn't really care about the Pokemon he met on the route, when it came to their strength, he just wanted to get through his journey, find information on the Lanorae native Pokemon, and find his father. Nick then looked at Iglora staring at him in the eye. "So they get worse, eh? More vicious, strong, and uncontrollable I take it. Hehe..." Nick chuckled still smiling at the Iglora. "I'll take it. Out of the three starters which are native to this region this fella seems the hardest to control, however I see power lots of it." Nick said simply, standing upright and pulling his arm attempting to get it out of Iglora's mouth.

"Out of the three starters which are native to this region this fella seems the hardest to control, however I see power lots of it."
"You got that right..." Lillian murmured beneath her breath, though she put on a cheerful smile. "Alright them! Just let me grab its Pokeball and your survival pack and you're all set!" she said, walking over to a shelf and beginning to rummage about it.
The Iglora let go with a cheerful "Igo!", though it still had a somewhat mischievious glint in its red eyes. He'd let the trainer go easily this time, after all, apparently it was going to be traveling with him now...
Lillian returned a moment later and held out a red and white Pokeball to Nick. "This is the little fella's Pokeball!" she said cheerfully. "Make sure you don't lose it, especially when it evolves... after all, they only get more troublesome and it wouldn't be good if you ahve to try catching it again..." she smiled sheepishly.
~*Congratulations! Nick recieved Iglora!*~

"And of course, we can't be forgetting this!" she held a pack out to the new trainer as well. "This is the basic Lanorae survival kit, you'll find everything you need to start inside. It should at least get you to Purity Valley, and you can restock on supplies there!"

"I wish you luck, and don't let the darkness get you down! After all, it'll lift soon!" Lillian smiled cheerfully again, tossing her turqoise hair.
You may now move on to Route One!
