"Thank you for allowing merest in your house, Miss Imako." "No problem, child. Now you be on your way to becoming a good trainer." "I sure will! Um... In which direction is the lab again?" "Keep following that path, and take a left after a while. You can't miss the place." "Ok, thank you very much again. Bye!"
The Persian 'Moprh walked away from the small house, an old lady waving good bye to her before going back inside. Meanwhile, on the porch, a gray feline wandered about, watching the 'Morph leave before yawning and falling asleep once more. One of the Sinnoh Region pokemons, she guessed, though the name eluded her at the moment. 'No matter, I'll have plenty of time to memorize her name and the name of many others. Aspen's Lab, here I come! A smirk adorned her facial features, the 'morph waisting no more time as she sprinted down the road and in search of her 'final' destination.
It was close to six in the afternoon by the time the female finally reached and entered Seaside Village, the Persian 'Morph slightly exhausted after walking all the way from the harbor to here. Finding the lab wasn't exactly easy... Especially with a rumbling stomach. Managing to ignore her hunger for the time being the female watched the three buildings - though eventually she reached the Lab and its steps. Climbing she finally came across the double doors of the place, sighing in relief. "So, this is the Lab? Interesting..." Standing at the doors of the building the female blinked, taking time for her amber eyes to travel the structure and memorize it. There, she knocked before waiting for an answer. She' heard about the special ones native to this region, and had decided on her way here she wanted a Firecub of her own. Now only came the part of picking the right Firecub.
"Mmm... Hopefully they will have a few in stock so I can compare their personalities."
The comment was an out loud thought, the eighteen year old waiting for the door to open while she watched the sun slowly setting down. Soon it would be night time - her favorite time to travel around. 'Can't wait to hit the road already... And get a bite to eat as soon as I set camp.'

"Haven't seen a fellow 'morph in a while..." a male voice carried down from an unknown location. It had a somewhat tenor sound to it, showing that the owner was most likely not too much older than a teenager, if not a teen himself. Really, it sounded like the owner could probably be a pretty good singer with a voice like that. "Huh, gets loney around here with all the humans about, but, most of them are very kind. Lily I think gets a little unnerved around us, but, the professor's nice enough..." Whoever owned the voice still did not make himself known, nor did he give any the slightest hint to his location, but he would show himself soon enough. "Pity it's so dark though... the Murkrow are acting up again, you can see them swarming up above, see? Wonder when their queen is going to appear... oh well, time will tell."
After the voice had finished speaking his final sentence, the door to the lab was pulled open to reveal a young woman. Her hair was turqoise and pulled back into a ponytail with bright eyes to match the shade perfectly. Her face and figure were slim, and a pair of half-moon glasses set upon her nose. Hanging from her shoulders was a long, white lab coat, showing that she worked at the lab, though she lacked the features that were the characteristics of Professor Aspen. Her hair, for example, and her eyes, were the wrong color. She was merely an aide, not the professor herself.
"Oh, hello there!" she said, trying to keep her attitude cheerful and friendly. She had nothing against 'morphs, nothing at all, it was just that she was nervous to offend them. She would prefer not getting burned by a Houndoom one, or charred by an electric one, and Persians could learn moves like Thundershock from TMs couldn't they? "My name's Lillian, how may I help you this..." she looked upward. "Alright, maybe not 'fine' day, but day anyway... I think... it's hard to tell anymore."
"Chatot!" a Chatot was fluttering about inside, looking rather scared and unnerved with all the Murkrow fluttering above. It landed on a bookshelf, hiding its beak among the feathers of its wings and remaining unmoving in that position.
Lillian glanced over her shoulder at the bird before returning her gaze to the Persian 'morph. "Anyway, feel free to call me Lily, Lil, or Carry instead of Lillian, and I'm going to guess you would like a starter correct? If you're here to see the professor, I'm afraid she's in a conference with one of the League members about all... this..." She gestured at the sky.

Murkrows, everywhere... The female watched them flutter by, her crimson eyes glued to them. Spoting her alone, one of them thought it'd be fun to pester the 'Morph, but a weak jolt of electricity sent the bird packing back to the rest of the flock. Useless, weak. Ciara had no desire for any of them if they were all so skittish, pathetic. Still, a new voice lingered in the air, one that could have been well mplemented in singing - just like she could have made a wonderful lawyer.
""Haven't seen a fellow 'morph in a while... Huh, gets lonely around here with all the humans about, but, most of them are very kind. Lily I think gets a little unnerved around us, but, the professor's nice enough... Pity it's so dark though... the Murkrow are acting up again, you can see them swarming up above, see? Wonder when their queen is going to appear... oh well, time will tell."
'Queen? What is he talking about? And better yet, who is he?' Ears flickered slightly, her gaze trying to pinpoint his location. Only his scent lingered, though far too weak for her to tell much by it. Male, that was definitely, probably around her age, or maybe a bit older. But she couldn't tell the specie, not with this weak trail lingering in the air. Before she could reply, or even think about what to say, the doors had opened to a young woman - who seemed slightly nervous at the moment. This must have been that Lily the voice spoke about.
"It's an ok day, I suppose. Though there seems to be a Murkrow infestation around here."
Stepping inside the female glanced once more out, trying to see who was the owner of the mysterious voice, before simply flickering her tail. She wouldn't bother herself, he would - eventually - have to make himself known to her. And if not, ah well. She didn't really cared that much about the matter. At Lily's next words she nodded, speaking with a soft yet secure voice. It was enough to tempt people into a false sense of security - though the Persian'Morph had no desires to harm the girl - or anyone for that matter.
"Yes, I am here for a starter. Could I see any male Firecubs you might have around the Lab? I would like to take my pick from the litter."
Her eyes were on the Chatot, however, the Pokemon seeming scared and nervous. Stretching a hand out she tried to coax the Pokemon to it, cooing softly in reassurance.
"Come here, little guy. I won't hurt you."

"Yes, I suppose I could see which males we have left..." Lillian nodded slightly, playing with a strand of her long, turqoise hair as she retreated into the lab, examing one of the many highly organized shelves that decorated the main lobby.
The lights overhead were dim and flickering though, something that no one that would keep a lab this neat would allow to happen. Most likely, the flickering lights had something to do with the gathering darkness outside. Really, outside it was already almost pitch black, not a good sign in the least, as it was almost like total night had fallen. The darkness was so suffocating that it seemed that not even the lights on the porches of houses could shine through it.
The Chatot that Ciara was speaking to peaked up over its feathers, its large eyes glazed in fear. Chatots were sort of seaside birds, where bright, sunny light was frequent. It did not like the darkness that was now overtaking the region, not one bit. However, despite the Persian 'morph's kind words, the bird did not budge from its perch, and merely hid its eyes again.
Lillian had three Pokeballs in hand when she returned from the shelf, and simultainously she allowed them to drop to the floor, releasing the creatures that they held trapped inside with a flash of red light. Normally, this flash would have been huge and almost blinding, but it was almost as if the light had been completely absorbed by the darkness that was slowly permeating the lab.
Three Pokemon appeared, all orange in color with bright emerald eyes and beige-dipped paws. They all had beige streaks along their sides, and three flames burned upon three tails. Even the light from the flames was dimmed by the darkness, and the three Firecubs did not appear too happy to be out.
The first of the three seemed to be slightly larger than the others, and its muscles rippled beneath its skin. It seemed to be the strongest out of the trio, with long claws and fierce looking teeth. It twitched its tail and swiveled its ears forward, but made no sound.
The second of the trio was much more lean than its brother, and looked lightly built. Its body was perfect for speed and agility, and it had a look about it that showed it was quite easy for it to make sharp turns without stumbling. Like its brother's paws were large, this one's paws were more dainty, with small, more grip-like claws.
The third Firecub looked rather average, however it had a faraway look to its eyes, as if it was deep in thought. It was almost as if it was planning techniques and strategies, most definately the wisest of the group of three. It swiveled its ears around like its first brother, but too, made no sound.
"These are the three males that we have..." said Lillian, providing a small smile. "As you can probably tell, they all host their own specialties. The first one is most suited in an offensive position, and he's well-built and sturdy, the second is more speedy and can slip out of danger easier, and the third is the quick-thinker, he is usually able to think up pretty good strategies."

"Yes, I suppose I could see which males we have left..."
With that the assistant was gone, and the girl was left alone in the room with the Chatot - who continued to his its eyes around its feathers. The faint flickering of the lights caught her attention, the female's own round ears swiveling forwards in mild curiosity as she watched them. From a window she could see darkness settling outside. 'Mmm... I know it was a bit late when I got here, but sure nowhere near such darkness. A bit more and this will look almost like if it were midnight...' Reddish eyes turned back to the Chatot, catching the glazed fear in the Pokemon's eyes, before it proceeded to hide again. The bird was definitely upset with all this darkness, and even Ciara was getting slightly uneasy at the moment. It just didn't seem too normal to see thousands of Murkrows in the air - and a darkness settling around town that almost seemed to suck the light away.
And even Ciara, a new arrival to Lanorae Region, could already sense something just wasn't right in this place at all. This was probably the reason the Professor was currently absent, speaking with some League Member - as Lily had said. Speaking of which, here returned the girl, three Poke'Balls soon cluttering on the ground before releasing their contents. Fire cubs, three of them, all orange and beige and with burning flames. But even their fire seemed dimmer than usual - and none looked to please to be out and able to see this darkness slowly engulfing them
The first was a strong and sturdy male, the female noticed as she passed a hand through his muscled frame. She could feel the structure, wide bones, thick muscle tissue, a battler. The next was slimmer, lean and almost aerodynamic. Once more she passed her hands through his frame, checking and testing. Muscle tissue was there, though not as noticeable as the first. Dainty paws, but with such an excellent shape that would allow for easy gripping. Well balanced, this one was definitely a lean and stealthy racer. And it appealed to her. The third was around average - though the distant look upon his eyes gave away his strenght: the mind. All three were good, but she could only pick one. Finally she decided, tapping the middle one on the head softly.
She had a feeling this would be a dangerous journey - and having the agility to avoid traps and dangers would be a big bonus. The cub was strong, the first one was just stronger, but Ciara was sure he could still hold his ground - and she could work on that either way. And, to balance things out, the female would be his helper when it came to techniques and battle tactics, and she would instruct him in the arts. Yes, this one would do.
"I'll take him." She announced, her eyes flickering back to the Firecub before she rubbed him behind the ear softly. "And you, my friend, shall be known as Leiro from now on."

"Mreow?" the Firecub gave a confused mew before starting to purr loudly, quite enjoying getting his ear rubbed. What feline didn't really? Just behind the ear was a sensitive spot and it felt good to get it rubbed.
Lillian smiled slightly. "Alright, I'll go fetch his Pokeball and your survival kit..." she said cheerfully, though paused as soon as she turned around. The front door had swung open and a tall figure darted in, a hiss escaping his throat as he attempted to battle off a Murkrow. He was running rather awkwardly, trying to hold his right arm and strike at the black bird at the same time, which was not exactly possible.
Lillian let loose a little scream, jumping and then backing off, her turqoise eyes wide. She was already jumpy with what was going on with the Murkrow, this had pretty much pushed her over the edge seeing the figure's reddish eyes had a slight glow to them.
Her Chatot screeched as well, diving downward and landing on its mistress' shoulder before cowering beneath her ponytail, his claws sinking into her skin though the woman didn't seem to notice. Finally, the Murkrow soared back outside, cawing loudly, showing its obvious displeasure.
The figure turned around, giving a sheepish grin which was barely visible in the near blackness, though the flash of his small fangs immediately caught Lillian's attention. "Sorry about that... those pesky birds will attack anything they can get at... I suppose hiding on the roof could ahve had a better alternative..." A shadow flickered, probably caused by him moving his long tail, which curled at the tip. Two-cup-like ears were poking out of short, spikey silver hair. "Anyway... I suppose we might as well get introductions out of the way, right? Name's Kaze..."
His voice was a perfect match to the one Ciara had heard outside, light and tenor, a perfect singing voice. He was tall, that was obvious, but it was also apparent he was still in his teens, and was also a morph of some cat-like Pokemon. Probably a Persian as well, judging by his tail and the color of his fur, which was barely visible in the blackness.
The man winced, looking down at his shoulder. "Stupid things' beaks are sharp though, got my shoulder rather well that one did..." He rested a hand on the deep cut, applying pressure to it before raising his eyes back toward Lillian and Ciara. "Anyways, as I was saying outside, been I while since I've seen another morph..." "Mreow?"
The Firecub was soon purring away in delight, the female noticed this with a pleased smile. Soon Lilly had announced she would go and get his Poke'Ball and the required items - before the double doors had swung open with a loud BANG! and a dark figure had entered the Lab. It was quite unexpected and, while Lilly probably could barely see a thing, Ciara was gifted with the ability of 'night vision' - something all felines and most mammals that weren't humans shared. Still, even she was having problems distinguishing the silhouette - though faint cracks of electricity ran through her fur as she spotted the Murkrow. Still, she couldn't zap the dumb thing - not here at least - or she'd risk hitting the new arrival. So Ciara had been about to sick Leiro on the bird, before noticing it fly away with a look of disgust and hatred. Seemed the Murkrow wasn't happy at all to be shooed off.
And he wasn't the only one.
As the woman let loose a small but high pitched scream, the sensitive ears of the female folded back, tail trashing behind her in an irritated manner as she hissed lightly. Still, the Persian'Morph soon got her temper back in check, watching the Chatot now. The Pokemon, almost scared to death, was a miracle to her. With all the fear it showed, the 'Morph was surprised the poor Pokemon hadn't had a heart attack just yet - and the haunted-ish look the Lab had recently gained along with the sudden appearance of this Kaze surely wasn't helping the poor Chatot at all. Nope, definitely not helping at all.
Different scents lingered in the air: those of fear, those of blood from the Chatot's talons digging into the woman's shoulder, those of Leiro and those of the new arrival. She had a bit of trouble secluding them from the rest, though the match to the faint trace she had picked up earlier outside was evident and precise. She could also scent the faint trace of blood mingled with his own as well - and as he clutched his shoulder with one hand the female had no trouble on guessing what had happened before he even told them.
"Sorry about that... those pesky birds will attack anything they can get at... I suppose hiding on the roof could have had a better alternative... Anyway... I suppose we might as well get introductions out of the way, right? Name's Kaze... Stupid things' beaks are sharp though, got my shoulder rather well that one did... Anyways, as I was saying outside, been I while since I've seen another morph..."
Yup, he was a Persian'Morph just like her - though much taller than she was. Still on his teens, though probably on the later phase of them - much like her. At his comments she rolled her eyes, gazing at the still half hidden silhouette. "Hiding in the roof when there are thousands of Murkrows flying out there? That's the stupidest idea I've heard so far." She retorted in a matter-of-fact way, her gaze on the male as he introduced himself. "Ciara." She finally offred in return, though didn't bother with more formalities as she turned to look at Lilly. "You really should get those punctures your Chatot did cleaned... And we better clean his wound as well, before Mr.Careless gets it infected or something. Hiding in roofs..." The last part was more of an out loud comment, the Persian'Morph shaking her head ever so slightly.

Kaze shrugged with a slightly crooked grin, swiveling his ears forward. "Well, you didn't see me now did you? So, the roof served its purpose!" he flicked his tail. "And the Murkrow didn't notice me either until I jumped down, so really it was probably the jump that did it. If I stayed up there until this whole thing was over, maybe I wouldn't get attacked, but, oh well..."
He glanced at Lillian, who had shooed Song off her shoulder to tend to the small claw marks the bird had caused in her skin. "You have a bandage... or something, Lily?" he asked. The aide looked stunned.
"H-how do you know my name?" she stuttered, looking at the silver-haired Persian fearfully. "I never introduced myself to you..." A few pinpricks of blood were soaking through her white lab coat on her shoulder, and her glasses were hanging somewhat askew.
Kaze rolled his eyes. "Professor Aspen told me all about you... Morwen knows pretty much all the morphs that live around here... She mentioned a Raichu morph that was around here, but I never saw her... I think she went off with another morph before I could meet her... Anyways, yeah, bandages, please?"
"F-fine..." Lillian walked over to a desk and pulled out a first aide kit, grabbing the roll of bandages and some oinment from it, which she threw at Kaze rather than handing them to him. She seemed to be alright around Ciara now, but she didn't seem to like Kaze's presence very much.
"Thanks..." Kaze said simply, catching the items and applying them to the wound on his shoulder, his red eyes still having that slight glow about them. "And really, Ciara was it, you can't exactly judge someone on one mistake, no matter how obvious it may have been... after all, I could call you a snob right now but I won't..." He twitched his right ear, which happened to be pierced with a silver hoop.
Lillian seemed to want to change the subject. "S-so, Ciara, would you like me to get your survival kit and your new Firecub's Pokeball?" she asked. "Actually, I'll just go do that now, seeing you already named him it's obvious that's the one you want..." She ran over to a shelf, beginning to look through the contents upon it in the near blackness.

"And the Murkrow didn't notice me either until I jumped down, so really it was probably the jump that did it. If I stayed up there until this whole thing was over, maybe I wouldn't get attacked, but, oh well..." "Then maybe you should have stayed up there, would have saved the Murkrow the displeasure of tasting you blood."
The female commented, though this time a smirk was on her features, and tones were covered by a soft and jest-ish toping. Leiro had been approaching the new 'Morph, sniffing his feet lightly, before quickly shuffling back to sit behind his trainer as the Aide threw the bandages and ointment at the male Persian'Morph. The female herself blinked, petting the head of the Firecub before receiving a delighted purr from the youngling. She was slightly surprised by Lilly's actions towards Kaze - not exactly sure if the female was really being hostile towards him or not.
"Professor Aspen told me all about you... Morwen knows pretty much all the morphs that live around here... She mentioned a Raichu'Morph that was around here, but I never saw her... I think she went off with another morph before I could meet her... Anyways, yeah, bandages, please?"
So, they had never met until now? Perhaps Lilly just didn't took kind to being scared half to death by random 'Morphs... As for th Professor - she sounded like a person Ciara would like to eventually meet. She seemed to new all the 'Morphs around the area - though she guessed they weren't that any, considering the first comment Kaze had given her the first time she had heard his voice. Mmm... He did had quite the melodious gift - and his features weren't half-bad looking either. 'Gotta admit, couldn't have picked a better time and place for me to be in at the moment.'
"And really, Ciara was it, you can't exactly judge someone on one mistake, no matter how obvious it may have been... after all, I could call you a snob right now but I won't..."
Her own ears twitched slightly, though more out of mild irritation than anything else. Lilly's comment was half lost, and the message only registered in her mind when the Aide walked away t get the mentioned things. She gave a soft nod in her direction, before turning to gaze at the male once more. "So, amuse me. What did brought such a fine and smart male like you to come into the lab. As you might already tell, I am here to travel and train Pokemons. But what about you?"

"So, amuse me. What did brought such a fine and smart male like you to come into the lab. As you might already tell, I am here to travel and train Pokemons. But what about you?"
Kaze twitched his right ear, placing his hands behind his head in a relaxed fashion. "You could call it curiousity..." he said simply, a rather charming smirk spreading across his lips, which also showed off his small fangs. "Not into training Pokemon myself, though I do love adventure... nothing like a good thrill to get your day going you know..." That slight grin stayed on his features as he lashed his tail. "Though, I suppose you wouldn't want someone like myself to accompany you, so I'll just be on my way..." he turned as if he was going to leave, though he still wore that slight smirk.
Lillian returned a few moments later and quickly strode over to Ciara, holding out a pack and a Pokeball. "Here's your survival pack and Leiro's Pokeball..." she said simply. "The survival kit should get you to at least Purity Valley, and you can restock there at the PokeMart. I trust you know that even though you have Pokemon abilities only the ones you caught can fight?" she managed a small smile, though sent a cautious glance in Kaze's direction.
Name: Leiro Gender: Male Level: 5 Attacks: Tackle, Growl, Tail Whip Personality: A very agile and swift Pokemon, this male specializes in attacking fast. He is a loyal companion, though enjoys exploring the terrain ahead of time, using his speed to run ahead of those he travels with. Experience Points: 0 Hold Item: None
Empty Pokeball x5 Potion x6 Antidote x4 Paralyze Heal x4 Lanorae Region Map Lanorae PokeDex 1000£
"And..." she added in an undertone. "I'd appreciate it if you could drag him along... I don't really want someone barging in randomly when they get attacked by a bird of all things...." The turqoise-haired woman sent a rather annoyed glance in Kaze's direction, pushing her glasses up her nose.
OoC: What's sad is that took me two days to type -.-;

"Not into training Pokemon myself, though I do love adventure... nothing like a good thrill to get your day going you know... Though, I suppose you wouldn't want someone like myself to accompany you, so I'll just be on my way..."
...
"And... I'd appreciate it if you could drag him along... I don't really want someone barging in randomly when they get attacked by a bird of all things...."
The two speeches were given one shortly after the other, the Persian'Morph blinking before her ears flickered softly. However, Leiro was already sniffing Kaze and tagging along behind the other 'Morph - so the female gussed she wouldn't really have a choice in the matter. And thus, with a sigh, she accepted the wicked ways of this world - at least the 'Morph was quite handsome, so it wasn't that much of a sacrifice really.
"Not to worry, I know the rules. And you, Pierced Ear, you're coming with us. Try to keep up. Come on, Leiro!"
The cub needed no other encouragement, sprinting off after hsi female mistress. is sleek body and tiny paws worked in perfect unision, the spine curving and straightening like some sort of spring to aid the small pokemon into reaching high speeds quicker. Truly, this Firecub was born to be a racer - and the female didn't minded it one bit. After all, the work out was always something she did like.
And the other 'Morph...Hopefuly he would tag along - or be attacked by Murkrows. Whichever he prefered, really.

Kaze blinked, rubbing the back of his head. He was rather taken aback by this suddern turn of events. What had caused the other Persian to tell him to tag along. The normally smooth talking cat was speechless, however, it hit him and he sent a rather icy glare in Lillian's direction. "Didn't bother consulting me at all, huh?" he sighed and shook his head, twitching his flexible tail.
"What... I'd rather have a troublemaker like you out of the village... especially in these times..." Lillian replied simply, her Chatot fluttering down to her shoulder and squawking loudly, its eyes still wide in fear. "You'd better go catch up..." she pushed her glasses up and disappeared into the back of the lab.
Kaze growled slightly, tossing his silver hair. "Hmph..." he suddenly smirked. "You'd think she didn't like me very much... funny really, she's always so cheery around everyone else..." He turned and walked out the door, closing it behind him as he pricked up his ears. He couldn't hear a Murkrow caw getting closer, as if one was diving, it should be safe. He focused his crimson eyes after Ciara and her Firecub and took off after them without a word.
You may now move on to Route One!
