"I appreciate you coming Rui... you have no idea how much I am in your debt now, especially with such short notice..." a woman with long ebony hair and icy blue eyes sat down in an armchair. The room she was in was dark, only lit by a few lamps, but there was enough light to at least see the other ebony haired woman that sat across from her.
"You are in no debt Morwen..." the other woman, who was apparently named Rui, said quietly. Her hair was pulled back into a bun with a streamer of loose hair hanging down her back. It was held with a pale, white cloth that seemed to be slightly translucent. Like the professor across from her wore a white lab coat, this woman's attire consisted of a white mid-drift with a black cross upon the chest, and black pants with a cross decorating the right leg.
The second woman's silvery eyes moved to a window, from which you could barely see anything but blackness outside... blackness with the flash of yellow beaks. "Things are slowly getting worse... aren't they..."
A loud growl startled her out of her thoughts, and a slim Mightyena placed its paws against the window pane, glaring out with narrowed red eyes. The dark element wolf bared its teeth, showing off large fangs.
Rui stared at the creature, creating an arch with her fingertips as she rested her elbows on her lap. "It's not just the Murkrow either... all the dark element Pokemon are acting strangely. Look at Shaira, she's never like this..." she nodded at the Mightyena.
Professor Aspen nodded slightly. "Yes... I see..." the dim lights overhead flickered, causing the professor to look up. "The darkness is getting worse... soon everything will be completely black until this is over... until the Shadegra finds what it wants..."
Rui closed her silvery eyes with a slight sigh. "The spirits of the dead have told me what the Shadegra was after last time..." she said quietly. "A young boy was taken by the creature fifty years ago, and the the light returned and the dark Pokemon that were unnatural in this area vanished... It could be that it chose the wrong boy... that the right one was not born yet... I think it's come back to claim the right one..."
Professor Aspen fell deathly silent, a troubled look in her icy blue eyes. "The Shadegra are famous for being the Pokemon of death, what could one possibly want with a young boy? It's... troubling..."
Rui shook her head. "The spirits will not entrust me with anything else, but we have to find out what's going on... who this boy is if that's why the Shadegra is returning so soon... why it wants him..." she focused her silvery eyes on the woman across from her. "You alone are the leading researcher of the Shadegra... what kind of boy would appeal to such a creature?" The professor focused on the floor, and closed her eyes. Rui seemed to immediately get what she was thinking and shook her head. "I do not think it is Jenner, he is safe, though he has requested of me not to tell you where... anyone else?"
Professor Aspen shook her head. "No... but I pray we can find out who it is before the queen arrives and begins her search for him herself..."

-Meanwhile-
A young boy, looking around the age of sixteen or seventeen, laughed happily. Even among the darkness of the sky, his bright blonde hair and amber eyes were filled with happiness. The Charizard he rode upon roared with equal joy, neither of them seeming to notice the Murkrow that swarmed around them.
One of light I will find...
That is the one to which I will bind...
Death calls him through the walls of life...
To save him from the world's strife...
He is the one to answer the call...
To keep the world from its fall...
He is the one that must die...
To make sure this earth does survive...
