"Come on Leiro, that's all you got?!" {'Course not! I'll show you!}
The little cub was running behind a bigger Persian, the larger cat having a back pack and /clothes/ on it. This was actually Ciara, in one of the few times she would actually transform into the Pokemon body of the specie her DNA was mixed with. With effort the Firecub did managed to surpass her, though as the lion like creature turned his head to look backwards and laugh he manager to hit a small tree and topple over. Now dizzy and shocked, the normally graceful male stumbled across the grass, shaking his head while his mistress giggled.
The female had returned to her 'human' form, ears and tail flickering in amusement as she watched the Firecub stumble along the grass, before walking over and picking him up. After a few moments he was back to normal, and paws grasped the girl around the shoulders softly as the critter licked her cheek fondly - purring quite loudly. Well, it seemed this duo got along from the start.
Though, it was Leiro Vulcanus who noticed a third member was missing, gazing behind in unison of the female to see if they could spot Kaze. Had he even come with them from the Lab? "Oi! Fluffball! Where are you?!" That was Ciara for you, she didn't mind nor bothered much to call him by his name. Sure, she knew his.
She just didn't felt like using it.
Reddish eyes then scanned the route, looking for any tell-tale signs of nearby Pokemons. After all, one of her goals was to train her Leiro - but another was also to fill up her PokeDex. And, there was one last and minor one. A rumor she'd hears about a few Stantlers that lived around in these parts - and the female was mighty interested in catching one member of the herd. After all, a Stantler would be a good addition to her team.
((Reserved for Ayry, since she also needs to role play the Persian'Morph Kaze. :3))

A rather annoyed scoff could be heard along with the rustling of the blades of grass. The high grasses of the prairie parted to reveal a slim Persian with one of its ears pierced with a silver hoop. It sat down, its cream fur rippling in a soft breeze as it gazed upward with ruby eyes. The sky was slowly darkening even more than it was, if that was even possible. Even the yellow beaks of the Murkrow above could barely be seen among the blackness of the air, of the very being. Everything was dark... even the Persian's nighvision could barely pierce the thick blanket of twilight.
Suddenly, the beast began to shift shape, becoming much more human-like and really only retaining the ears, tail, feet, and fur of the Pokemon he had taken the form of. Silvery hair hung in his deep red eyes and a slight smirk was tugging at his lips. "Now now, you call me a fluffball and technically you call yourself one, after all, we are the same species..."
A loose white shirt and a jacket adorned his upper body, while his legs were coverd by a pair of rather worn-looking jeans. He took a pair of glasses from his pocket and placed them on his nose, closing one of his eyes and glancing at Ciara with the ruby orb that he kept open. "Well, aren't you supposed to be looking for Pokemon or something?" The glasses that now sat low on the bridge of his nose were square in shape, and how exactly they were not falling off with the way his cat-like ears were arranged was unknown. It was almost as if they were glued there, which wasn't quite correct, after all, he was able to push them up a bit higher on the bridge of his nose. He twitched his tail and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "That is what trainers are supposed to be doing, isn't it?"
He swiveled his ears around and glanced out of the corner of one of his ruby eyes. "As a matter of fact... why don't you go check in that grass patch... maybe you'll find something, I think I hear breathing..." He turned at placed his intense gaze directly on the bush, a slight smirk playing about his mouth. "Course, if you don't want it, perfect time for me to practice stalking..." [/size]

"Now now, you call me a fluffball and technically you call yourself one, after all, we are the same species..." "Hmph."
She refused to answer or reply to that statement of his, instead chosing to ignore it as he arranged the glasses on the bridge of his nose. Wait, he had glasses? The female was sure he didn't had them back at the lab - or at least they hadn't been noticeable.
"Don't tell me you're as blind as a Zubat..."
She jested slightly, lips curved into a taunting smirk while her own ruby orbs remained fixed on his currently opened eye. Meanwhile, Leiro's dizziness had passed away and the cub - who was now back on the ground - had currently been sniffing around and swiveling his ears a lot, trying to find something to amuse himself with.
"Well, aren't you supposed to be looking for Pokemon or something? That is what trainers are supposed to be doing, isn't it? As a matter of fact... why don't you go check in that grass patch... maybe you'll find something, I think I hear breathing..." "I know what I have to do, thank you very much. And Leiro already found that out, see?"
Indeed, the Firecub had been stalking that same bush seconds before, his tail flickering from side to side as the lion like creature crouched down, rump high in the air. Nobody ever said he knew how to stalk prey perfectly. The female made a mental note on correcting Leiro about it later, but now the chance of stalking something and battling was more tempting.
"Course, if you don't want it, perfect time for me to practice stalking..." "No thank you, I think me and Leiro can handle it. Right boy? Tackle whatever is in there." {'Bout time you gave me the go ahead.. Hyah!}
With a wide and toothy grin the Firecub dashed towards the bush in a normal, if not somewhat quicker than normal, Tackle attack. No sooner he felt himself collide with something solid the cub swiftly jumped back and into more open areas, scanning the bush to see if he'd hit whatever that was hiding in there - or just a bush branch.

"Don't tell me you're as blind as a Zubat..."
"Hmph, I actually think I look quite sexy in them and others have said the same..." said Kaze with a slight grin. He closed both of his crimson eyes completely, quite unfazed by the insult. He had been called worse before. "And I don't wear them very much in cities unless I have to, though on routes I prefer wearing them..." He swiveled his ears around toward the bush again.
"No thank you, I think me and Leiro can handle it. Right boy? Tackle whatever is in there."
Kaze merely shrugged. "Suit yourself..." he said simply, seeing no point in replying to Ciara's comment before this one, and, really there had been no point in replying to this one either but he didn't like complete silence... if such a thing was possible with thr squawking and jeering Murkrow that still flocked overhead. Those black crows could get annoying quickly, that was really all he had to say about them.
"Biiiiiiii!" a loud cry of pain came from inside the bush as, quite obviously, Leiro's Tackle had come in contact with something quite alive, and thus, it was more than able to feel pain. A brown-furred Pokemon jumped out of the bush, shaking itself furiously to try and rid its body from the ache the Tackle had caused. The normally calm and lazy Pokemon did not look very happy about being disturbed....
Kaze raised an amused eyebrow. He had never seen a Bidoof move that quickly, normally their stubby, weak legs could not support their overly large, round bodies. Really, it was rather amusing to see one running about in an attempt to shake off the pain, quite funny really....
However, not many people liked the Pokemon, actually, quite a few thought them worthless to have, even though their final evolution could learn quite varied attacks. Was it like this for Ciara or not?
Finally, the small, roundish Pokemon seemed to regain itself and growled loudly before darting forward, somewhat clumsily, with its own Tackle attack. Its heavy body would prove effective if the attack managed to hit, after all, it was rather large compared to its small legs.
Event!
A wild Bidoof has attacked!

"Biiiiiiii!"
Well, that was enough to let the female know Leiro had hit his mark. The Persian'Morph smirked softly, watching as the Bidoof made its appearance and started running about, rather quickly for one of its species, in a futile attempt to shake away the pain Leiro's attack had caused. And, speaking of the devil...
The Firecub as watching the Normal type with amusement, eyes glittering slightly as the lion cub laughed his tail off in surprise and amusement at the Bidoof's reaction. At one point the Firecub even begun chasing the foe around in mockery, before suddenly being impacted square in the chest by the Bidoof's Tackle.
"Mreooow!" "Glad to see you're paying more attention now - that'll teach you not to drop your guard around foes. Now, up with you Leiro and give the Bidoof another Tackle if you will." {Roger!}
Getting back on his dainty paws, the almost slightly feminine looking Firecub sped forwards again, starting his next offensive attack. However, Leiro suddenly jumped to the left side seconds before colliding with the Bidoof - trying to trick his foe - before the Firecub made use of his natural good foot ability and pivoted on the spot, attempting to ram into the Bidoof from its side now, rather than a frontal attack.
As for Ciara, the female had already produced a Poke'Ball from her back pack, planning on catching the little critter. Sure, she doubted she'd use it much in battles - but she did planned on fulfilling her PokeDex, and in order to do that she needed to catch things. Once her first five Pokeballs ran out she'd go the the nearest PokeMart, get some more, and switch out to her PC those Pokemons she didn't felt like training at the moment. Who knew, if a Trading Center opened perhaps this Bidoof could be used to be traded for another Pokemon - or she could just train it until it evolved and then figure out what to do with the thing.

The Bidoof looked rather smug now, after all, it had succeeded in hurting its foe, no matter how slight the damage had been. Thus, it had not been expecting the fire lion to actually strike back at it so quickly! It didn't even see the Tackled coming until it was too late!
Squealing in pain, the Plump Mouse Pokemon sprawled across the ground, apparently having some trouble in getting back to its feet due to its round body. It legs were flailing helplessly in the air until it finally decided to roll over. Slowly, it got back to its feet, eyes flashing dangerously. Not only had the Firecub hurt it, but the Pokemon had caused it to make a fool of itself as well!
It snorted loudly, pawing at the ground much like a bull would before charging, and then, it sprang forward, whirling towards the fire type with yet another Tackle of its own. Its eyes were alight and furious, it would show this feline what happened if one messed with a Bidoof! It cried out loudly as it continued charging forward, a cry of pure fury. "Biiiiiiiiiiiiidoof doof!"
Kaze raised an amused eyebrow. "Huh, talk about a determined rodent..." he commented absently, pushing his glasses up his nose again. "Funny really, I thought that particular species of Pokemon was lazy, but this one just seems to be full of energy..." He absently twitched his tail. "Oh well, nevertheless I don't have much of a liking for them, all they're really good for is stalking practice..."
He glanced upward. The sky was pitch black now, as was the route around them. Not even his nightvision could pierce the darkness. "However, it is a bit odd to be fighting when you can't see a foot in front of you..." [/size]

{Ahahahahaahahahha!!!!!}
Really, the sight of the Bidoof was hilarious, like a cockroach that had been flipped over and couldn't return back to it's legs now. The Firecub rolled on the floor, grass and dirt, laughing his tail off once more as his eyes vern watered slightly with tears. This was just extremely hilarious and amusing!!!
"Leiro, pay attention! Dodge!" "Biiiiiiiiiiiiidoof doof!" "Mreow!
The Firecub had jumped aside, avoiding the incoming Bidoof just in time, before suddenly blinking as the Route became even darker. He could barely see - and he even had flames on himself for crying out loud! The 'Morph also looked around, a faint hiss errupting from her throat. Even she was having problems seeing - and she had a Persian's night vision for Alceus' sake! How the heck was she to throw the damned Poke'Ball at the Bidoof once it fainted?!
" We'll rely by scents now Leiro. Tackle!"
The fire starter complied, racing into the darkness around him as he followed the scent of his foe. He'd come into contact enough times with the Bidoof to remember its smell at least. And so he rushed in a faster than normal Tackle attack, hoping to hit his mark once more. And through all of this, the Firecub was grinning. Well, it seemed Leiro was really enjoying his first battle to the fullest.
Though perhaps we can't say the same for the poor Bidoof.

A loud roar suddenly seemed to strike the dark surroundings and both Kaze and the Bidoof froze, fur raising. Unfortunately for the Bidoof, that meant that it couldn't take advantage of this darkness and try to dodge, rather, it has hit full on and flew backwards, connecting rather hard with a tree. Yet, it was still not quite out yet. Panting heavily, it heaved itself back up, probably on its last leg in this battle, however, it seemed to be shaking in what seemed to be fear.
"What in Mew's name is that?" Kaze hissed, looking upward, his ears swiveling about on his head as he tried to pinpoint the source of the loud sound. He could see nothing, absolutely nothing the the darkness, which really ticked him off. His smell was rather good, nt as good as that of a dog's but still pretty decent, but what good would smell do when trying to identify what something looked like?
He lashed is tail behind him, instinctively crouching down low and grabbing in the darkness for Ciara's hand in an attempt to pull her down with him into the high grass. Even if they couldn't see what it was, that was no guarantee that whatever it was could see them, and he'd prefer that whatever it was didn't. After all, if something had a roar that loud it was probably big enough to swallow them whole, and he preferred not being something's dinner.
The Bidoof was still standing in front of the tree, its entire body shaking and shuddering. It looked completely terrified and the sudden intensity of the squawkings of the Murkrow above didn't help matters. Their red eyes were all that could be seen above, which was quite odd seeing that not even Leiro's flames could be seen in the suffocating darkness. [/size]

"Mreooowww..."
Even the Firecub, and his usually Jolly nature, was unsettled, the lion-like pokemon making a dive for the Bidoof as he pinned the other close to the ground. the flames around his body, usually set to burn opponents, were now a placid and warm - if not friendly - temperature, the pokemon making sure not to burn the Bidoof. Why, could Leiro be trying to protect the same Pokemon he'd had as a foe just seconds before. The roar still rung loud in his ears, making the feline's fur stand on end, as he searched the darkness for his mistress. Where was she?
"What in Mew's name is that?" "Mreoow... Mreooooooooow!!!"
She had felt something clasp around her wrist, pull her down into the long blades. Yet the Persian'Morph resisted and hissed, trying to find her release and freedom. Her baby was out there in the darkness, and he was calling out to her.
"Leiro?! Don't worry, I'm coming! dang it, let go!"
Here was when reason faltered and instincts kicked in, Persian instincts of a mother, to defend their young from uncertain surroundings. Her tail trashed out behind her, ruby eyes now glaring at the spot where her hand, currently ensnared by Kaze's own, was. The roar was still vivid in her brain cells, but all anguish pushed away any logical reasoning. If it could make that sounds, it could surely eat them all from one gulp. But her heart was dead set on finding her starter, she could sense the panic rising in the tones of his yowling.
"Mreoow... Mreooooooooow!!!" "Leiro, hang on. Momma's gonna be there soon!"

"You stay hidden..." Kaze suddenly growled, the fur that covered his body prickling in slight fear and anticipation. "I'll go find the Pokemon...." He didn't exactly know what had drove him to make such a decision. Maybe, like it had been instinct for Ciara to suddenly react like she did, it was instinct for him to do one thing: make sure all females were kept safe.
He let his grip around the other 'morph's wrist slacken and then stealthily shot out of the grass, swiftly switching form as he did so and sniffing at the air. His paws padded lightly across the dark ground, straining his ears for anymore of Leiro's calls. A soft growl escaped his throat as a sharp breeze started. Was it caused by the beating of large wings?
'<Leiro!>' he yowled loudly, tensing his muscles in preparation to dodge is something decided to attack. '<Keep meowing, I can't pick up your scent!>' His fur bristled, his did not like the feeling he was suddenly getting along his spine.
The Bidoof was grunting rather pitifully, not quite understanding what was going on nor why the Firecub, which had been its enemy a moment before, was apparently trying to protect it from something. The Plump Mouse was clueless on both this and the roar, another of which having just shattered the air. [/sup]

"You stay hidden... I'll go find the Pokemon...."
The female wasn't fully pleased with the idea, but she did stayed put as the male shot off into the darkness. The girl herself had shifted to her Persian form as well, tail flickering behind her like an anguished mother as she awaited the return of her off spring. It was instinct that was driving them on, insincts that many normal human beings had long lost.
<Leiro! Keep meowing, I can't pick up your scent!> {Mreooooow!!! Mreoooooww!!!Mre-MreoooOOOOWWWW!!!}
Having heard Kaze the young cub had continued to do as he had been told, before suddenly a second roar splitted through the air - causing the cub to shiver in fear and heighte the tones of his distressed calls. Stupid darkness!! He just wanted to go back to Ciara already! The female was still on the previous spot, shiftig about nervously as ruby eyes darted about. She could feel a faint breeze... Was it being caused by the beating of large wings?
What was whatever creature that was there with them?...

What little Kaze had heard, it was enough. The Persian immediately swiveled his ears in the direction of the mewing, silver hoop earring glinting slightly (though it was not visible due to the darkness), and shot off towards it. He lowered his ears back, baring his teeth slightly as another blast of wind erupted from the darkness, tearing up grasses that whipped around him, but he ignored it, his beige fur rippling as his toned muscles tensed and loosened in a running motion.
Faintly against the darkness, Kaze's crimson eyes picked up the flicker of darkened flames and he raced onward, eyes narrowed and claws paws gouging the ground. He slid to a stop, trying to get his teeth in the scruff of the Firecub's neck, like most cats carried a younger one of their species. However, he gave a loud, tenor-sounded meow to show that it was indeed him and not some prowler in the darkness.
Another roar split the Twilight, and a streak of glowing, bright read was seen above, however, whatever it was chasing was too dark to comprehend. The roars slowly faded as they grew further away, and the winds seemed to cease to exist. [/sup]

No sooner had the cub felt teeth gracing his loosen fur around the neck, and the tenor-sounded meow behind him Leiro managed to relax. Nudging with paw the Bidoof the Firecub hoped that was enough to get the Pokemon to follow - for it wouldn't do to leave the terrify (and no doubt weakened) Pokemon out in the open, much less in this darkness. However, soon enough he was in Kaze's grasp - the cub curling into an instinctive ball - and there was nothing he could do, but hope that the Bidoof would indeed follow.
Pacing on her spot Ciara hadn't ceased her frantic moving, ears swiveling back and forth over and over again as her tail trashed out at the air behind her in pure irritation, frustration, worry and fear. Once more another roar split through the air, making the female jump slightly as the Persian's fur stood on end. Glaring at the skies above, and the bright red in them, the female let out a loud and annoyed hissing - slender muscles tensing around her form under pale cream hued fur.
She could only hope and wait, trust that Kaze would be able to find Leiro in this darkness and keep the young Pokemon safe. She felt so, so... Weak and defenseless...
And Ciara hated that feeling the most.

"I've got him..." Kaze called through clenched teeth, doing his best to speak while still holding onto the scruff of the Firecub's fur. He slowly padded into sight, or at least what sight could be seen in the pitch blackness. He pricked his ears up, trying to listen for Ciara so he knew where exactly to set the lion cub down.
The Bidoof has indeed followed, or at least waddled, after the larger Persian. Somehow, it had managed to keep track of Kaze even in the darkness, probably by following the cat's footsteps against the grass below. "Doof..." it said simply, hurring along in its stride again.
The Murkrow were swarming up above again now that the red lights had vanished, but in the distance a roar was still faintly sounding. The creature had landed somewhere....
OoC: Sorry about shortness! No muse, bleh ;.; [/sup]

<Leiro! Thank the gods!>
Spotting the figure of the male Persian the female dashed towards him - almost tackling/glomping him, Leiro and the Bidoof in the progress. The Firecub, now content to be with his mistress [and somewhat 'mother'] again, started to wiggle until he freed himself from Kaze's jaws, only to glomp the female 'Morph. Though the far away roar broke the happy reunion, and the Jolly and curious cub perked his ears.
Suddenly he dashed off in it's direction, Ciara calling loudly after him before cursing under her breath. She picked up the Bidoof by the scruff of its neck [for the female wanted to catch him later] before setting off in pursuit of her starter Pokemon.
Truth to be told, she was curious as well to find out what this roaring beast was...

'<Whoa! Wait a second! Ciara! We can't take on that thing whatever it was! You saw its eyes, and just they were huge! Ciara!>' [/color] Kaze yowled loudly, his fur bristling, but he darted after her, red eyes glinting slightly in the darkness. '<Wait up!>'However, Kaze wasn't the only one that wanted the female Persian 'morph to go that way. A loud caw suddenly broke away from the swarming group above them and dove, red eyes narrowed and beak stiffened as the Murkrow aimed a Peck towards the 'Morph's back. His Queen wanted only one, and she didn't need this annoying trainer bothering her... Several more caws called from above, but none of them dove after the first. He was one of the stronger Murkrow, so he would do fine against a trainer. The Bidoof, however, was not to happy about being carried the way it was and started squirming, calling loudly and flailing its feet. It could walk! Why was it being carried? It wanted to be let go![/center][/sup]

<Stop squirming, oh fin- Ouch!>
Letting go of the Bidoof, the Persian'Morph kept on running after the Firecub. However, a small amount of electricity had begn to build up around her fur. Thuderbolt was the only move the female knew outside of the regular Persian attacks - and if the Murkrow persisted he would see she meant business.
<Go away!>
She hissed, though her ruby eyes remained following the Firecub ahead. Leiro was lucky, he was small enough to run through the grass - and the long blades serve as shelter for the fire feline.
((So short... XDD))
