The Mistwood Forest is indeed a very dark and forboding place. The skeletal black trees loom out of the thick mist, twisting upward and blocking out all sunlight. It gets very chilly in here, and the mist that the forest is named for swarms around treading feet. Be wary of roots, you don't want to trip over them.
Many bug Pokemon seem to make their home here, along with a fair amount of dark types. They are all rather territorial, so don't be surprised if you're attacked when you enter. Right in the entrance to the forest, there is a stone engraved with a message of warning.
