Elise walked cautiously up to the front door, considering for a moment the consequences of her actions. She really shouldn't be here. It would most likely be a dangerous venture, and she would be forced to start off as a lowly grunt. Though it wasn't as if she was experienced enough to complain. She knew almost nothing about training Pokemon, let alone using them for crime.
But it would be exciting, wouldn't it? That thrill you get when you steal something. That giggly feeling when you see the person looking around in astonishment, trying to figure out where it had gone. It was oh so amusing.
A slight smile on her face she knocked firmly upon the door, hoping this wouldn't take particularly long.

A low growl could be heard from the other side of the door, a higher ranking official in Team Diamond uttered the words, "Gah, another one. Don't we got enough grunts already." Another, illegible voice was heard, no louder than a slight murmur, but caused great distress in the gruff one. Reluctantly, foot steps were heard coming to the door, then the squeaking of the hinges signified the opening of it.
"Come in, we don't have all day!" The rough voice belonged to an equally rough figure. It was a male, roughly around the age of 35, with five o'clock shadow and greasy, long black hair. His teeth were stained yellow permanently from God know's what liquids, or cigars. His teeth were out of order, apparently being ground down to very dull.
His outfit suited his persona, as the dark blacks and gray suited the equally grim paradigm he had, tightly fitting his averagely built body. His shoes were anywhere from fancy, obviously not having been shined in a long while, maybe not ever. The only visible part of skin showing was dirty and very hairy, he was probably the closest thing to the 'Missing Link' you would find. He was an all out Primeape man.
He kept his hand firmly on the door, not wanting to open it all the way. He needed to be sure that this trainer really wanted to be here, and it wasn't just spur of the moment decision. He didn't want any rats telling the law about any going ons that happened here. [/sub]

Her face twisted into a grimace at the sight of him, but was quickly covered up as she remembered where she was. "Err...Hello" She began slowly, still a bit put off by his appearance. Even crooks should put a bit of time into hygiene. "I'm... here to join the team" She continued, "Are there any openings?"

Seeing the look of disgust passed to him, the 'Pocket', as his rank was referred to, give a quick snarl, showing he wasn't so fond of the newcomer either. "I believe all our positions are taken but..."
Before the Pocket was able to finish his sentence, another voice entered the scene. It was more serene, in a charming, manipulative way. "Don't be a dit, Fingers. We need all of the help we can get." Fingers, as the voice had called him, gave a look of disaprovement, but then opened the door wider. Fed up with the nonsense, he quickly stalked out of the room, into an adjoining chamber, where a clacking of beer bottles could be heard.
Sitting on a chair to the right of the entryway was a women, slim and cute. She had marvelous black hair that went slightly past her shoulders, and a black lab coat, different from the sterile white ones many people were accustomed to. She had on regular black high-heels, but were no make up at all. The smile planted on her face was that of trickery and deceit, but still casual and elegant. She was the perfect Diamond baddy, one of the heads actually.
"Come in, child. Close the door to, we wouldn't want a draft, or anything else getting in, now would we." Her long, red finger nails tapped evenly on the table, right next to a stack of what appeared to be paper work. [/sub]

This was certainly more like it. Elise smiled slightly at the sight of the new person. This was much closer to what she had been expecting. After that last member it was reassuring to say the least. She was definitely going to join.
Obediently she walked in, closing the door swiftly behind her. She stood straight, arms at her sides, awaiting further instructions.

"So you want to join our ranks, d'you child," purred the women. "I am Firion, third in command of all Diamond Operations. So you want to become one of us? Do you have any ideas for your starters?" Many new grunts had no idea what evil Pokemon would be like, so they always stuttered, as if the mere question had trip them up.
Smiling, Firion noticed the posture was holding. Good for directions, this one would definently be very loyal, if she didn't snap like all the others. The thought itself brought back painful memories, of deciet by the police. Using their full proof scanners, the PokePolice always were one step behind the notorious gang. This time would be no different, if circumstances were to pass. [/sub]

"Yes" She answered eagerly, keeping herself straight despite the excitement she was feeling.
In fact she had decided quite long ago what Pokemon would best suite her, and lucky as she was they happened to have that Pokemon here. As a matter of fact it was part of the reason she had decided to join...
"I want a Houndour" She stated, not faltering in the least. Hopefully they would have a pup that met her requirements.

Eying the girl with a new sight, the Lab Professor of the Diamond Gang gave a slight nod. She knew Houndours were very hard to keep, having a Houndoom herself. They always burnt anything they deemed 'unfriendly', which was about everything in sight. Their appetites were fierce, though their loyalty was fiercer.
"So, why would we want you into our little gang, and what talents will you bring?" The time for questions was now, to make sure they had a worthy member on their hands, not a flimsy, clueless one. "And how will you handle a Houndour?
If these questions could be answered without any hesitation and resentment in the tone, this was the next Grunt for Team Diamond. If not, well a missing persons report may be in order. [/sub]
